1. Nicole at a Convention
Millenium Promotions is an Edmonton based company specialising in Science Fiction related trade shows. (For those of you who don't know, that's Alberta, Canada) Sector 001 Science Fiction & Technology Trade Fair is the name of the convention. You can find out more by going straight to

The main thing is that Nicole will be there both 7th and 8th November signing autographs and, as far as I can gather, being generally approachable. (Sudden, unexpected committments permitting!)
I've sent in a request for a 'supporters pack' and to be advised as to the cost when it is available. I'll give details on the site when I receive it!
Also there is a possibility that photographs from the convention will make it onto the site. Mum's the word at the moment but you can be sure that the main page will have a pretty big link the moment it happens!

2. The most popular request to date is for Nicole's birthdate, birthday, age. This is just to let you know that we don't know yet! I'm in contact with a friend of hers who is sworn to secrecy. Also, it is very rude to ask her a question like that outright and I wouldn't dream of doing it. Anyone know anyone rude going to the convention? :)

3. http://www.nicoledeboer.com has gone from updates every 2 days to fortnightly due to my new job. Rest assured that this is only a temporary measure and more frequent updates will appear. The site will continue to be frames free with the only java being the chat room. This is to appeal to those who have older computers that cannot handle the new browsers.

I was informed recently that the text is barely readable on 800x600 screens. Having never seen that size screen until recently I had no idea what it looked like. Suffice to say, I've increased the font size where I believe it is necessary. (I use a 600x400 screen to design the site)

The sites are usually quick to load or have user friendly displays. There are also links to businesses that allow you to sign up and, if you have your own site, earn commissions from what you sell on their behalf. You've all heard of Amazon Books.
